DELIVERY & RETURNS
Piper and Poet endeavour to dispatch goods within 48 hours of an order being received. Piper and Poet delivers within the UK & Ireland and hopes to expand at some point soon to include Europe and the rest of the world.
If you would like to order something from Piper & Poet and live outside the UK & Ireland please get in touch and we will see what we can do.
Heavier items have a higher delivery charge and this information is on the product information page.
All items are sent via a tracked service - they will usually attempt to deliver your item(s) 3 times to the delivery address. If sent via Royal Mail and you’re not there you will receive a red card through your door and the package will be taken to your local sorting office. Please note if returning items to Piper & Poet there will be a further delivery charge to send the parcel back out.
BULKY AND FRAGILE ITEMS
We use private couriers to deliver these items, usually within 2-3 weeks but often sooner. Please contact us to arrange delivery. You can purchase the item online, but please be aware that the delivery charge will be in addition to what you pay at check out. Once we receive payment for the courier we will dispatch. Please make sure all items - especially the bulky ones - will fit into your home, or where you are receiving the items, prior to ordering. Check doorways and access etc. It is your responsibility to ensure that the items will fit into your home/the place you are receiving the goods. Usually a private courier entails one man delivering the item to your door.
When requesting a delivery quote please email email@example.com including the item you’d like to purchase, your address and postcode and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

COLLECTION FROM TOTNES
You are very welcome to collect from our address just outside Totnes, South Devon. Please select this option at checkout, print confirmation and bring it with you. Please pre-arrange the time of collection with us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Your item will be ready within 48 hours of receiving your order. If you do not come during the prearranged pick up time to pick up your item(s) we cannot guarantee we will be in.
If you decide to have items shipped at a later date, we will need to take payment for this before they are dispatched.
We are very happy to work with your own courier – we can recommend Shiply to help find a suitable courier but please always check their individual feedback and insurance policy etc.

Again, this must be prearranged and a time slot confirmed with us in advance.
In this instance, as soon as goods leave our address, Homeplace is no longer responsible for them & cannot be held accountable for any damage to such goods in transit. Please contact us on email@example.com to pre-arrange.
Piper & Poet wants you to be completely happy with your purchase however we understand that from time to time you may wish to return something. We try to keep our returns policy as straight forward as possible.
Please unpack your purchases carefully and make sure you are happy before disposing of the packaging and labels. Failure to do so may result in us being unable to offer a refund or exchange as products must be returned to us in their original and saleable condition.
If your order arrives damaged or broken please contact us ASAP on firstname.lastname@example.org so we can discuss a refund or exchange. Again please ensure you keep all original packaging.
Please note that items that have been damaged or used cannot be returned or exchanged.
To process a refund or exchange, please fill out the RETURNS FORM and send it back to us, along with the item, to arrive with us no later than 14 days from when it was received by you. Unfortunately we are unable to process returns which do not include this form and have the required information.
To arrange an Exchange please email us on email@example.com and advise us of your wishes as the item may be subject to stock availability. Please note that the majority of our stock is vintage therefore one off items and therefore not subject to a like for like exchange. If you exchange the items for something else we will refund the difference should the new item be of lesser value. If the item is of greater value the difference is payable by you and the new item will not be dispatched until this amount is received. Please be aware that there will be a cost incurred when we send out an item in return for your exchange which will be payable by you. Once payment is received, the new item will be shipped immediately.
All exchanges are subject to stock availability.
If you wish to return your purchase(s) and receive a full refund, items must be returned to Piper & Poet at the address below within 14 days from when the item(s) were received by you, in original, unused, saleable condition and must contain the Returns Form with a reference or order number.
Piper & Poet reserves the right not to refund goods that are returned to us in less than perfect condition and/or without a reference or order number. We also reserve the right not to refund an item which is returned to us outside the 14 days returns period.

For all items, except where the item is deemed faulty, you will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the item(s) to us.
We strongly advise that you obtain proof of postage, send items via registered registered post and have sufficient insurance to cover the cost of items being returned to us, especially when returning valuable items.
Piper & Poet cannot accept responsibility for items that are lost or damaged in return transit to us.
Please note that if we sent the items out by private courier, we would expect them to be returned to us in the same in way, a cost you are liable for so please do keep this in mind and ensure you are happy with such items before ordering.
Piper & Poet checks all items before they are sent out and we expect them to arrive with you in the same condition as when we dispatched the items. Please note that Piper & Poet sells vintage items and these items are in vintage, worn condition with signs of wear and tear consistent with age and use. Every scratch and mark will not be noted but all major issues or blemishes would be written about in the product description. Please contact us with any questions concerning the condition of vintage items before buying the product. In the unlikely event of an item being received damaged please do notify us within 24 hours of said delivery and we will arrange for collection and a full refund.
Those items which are returned to us as faulty will be inspected upon receipt and refunds will only be offered if the fault is not deemed to be fair wear and tare. Please note that vintage items are a one off and not subject to a like for like replacement. Faulty goods must be returned to Piper & Poet within 14 days of having been received by you. In the unlikely event of having received a faulty item, please contact Piper & Poet ASAP on firstname.lastname@example.org to make us aware.
Please note that refunds to debit or credit cards normally appear with 10 days. Refunds to PayPal can take up to 30 days and are subject to PayPal refund regulations.
Piper & Poet cannot be held responsible for any interest charges made by your credit card company while waiting for returns to be refunded to your card.
Piper & Poet will refund all orders, including those placed overseas, in Steling and as such cannot be held liable for any fluctuations in exchange rates and consequent loss of currency as a result.
Piper & Poet is in no way liable for any customs charges made in recipients countries either when goods are being sent out from here or returned to us. The customer is completely responsible for these charges in all instances.
Please be aware that Piper & Poet sells vintage items - as such these items are sold in worn condition. Please be aware that they almost always come with marks and wear consistent with their age. We do not list every mark and scratch - this is part of the vintage condition that items are sold in and in no way detract from the beauty of the items. Any major issues or blemishes will always be noted in the product description. If you would like more information on the specific condition of an item please don’t hesitate to contact us on email@example.com to request further product shots or to arrange to view the items before buying.
If you are unhappy with a vintage item please note that if the item was delivered by a private courier, we would expect for it to be returned to us in the same way, a cost which you are liable for so please bear this in mind and ensure you are happy with such item(s) before ordering.
All sale items (displaying a reduced price) are final and no exchange, credit note or refund will be offered in this instance. As such, the conditions laid out above regarding returns do not apply.
