DELIVERY & RETURNS
DELIVERY: Once Piper & Poet receive your order we aim to dispatch your goods within 2 working days/48 hours.
Currently we ship to the UK & Ireland - if all goes well we will extend to other regions. If you live outside these areas, and you’re interested in buying something from us, do get in touch and we will see if there’s a way to get the item(s) to you. All postage prices are outlined on the product pages - heavier items incur a higher postage charge.
Method of postage:
We use established, reliable, tracked services. These services usually try to deliver several times to your delivery address. If it’s Royal Mail and you’re out, they will leave you a red card and your package will be taken to the local sorting office where you can collect it, or rearrange a delivery by following the instructions on the card.
Returning items to us: when returning item(s) to us you will be responsible for the delivery/postage costs of the return. If the item was originally couriered to you, you will need to courier it back to us in a secure, insured fashion.
BIGGER, FRAGILE, BULKY OR HEAVY PRODUCTS : These sorts of items may require a private courier delivery. You can contact us on email@example.com and we will liaise with you to find the appropriate courier delivery service. Sometimes this means it can take up to 3 weeks depending on the courier company chosen, but is often much sooner. Please purchase the item online but remember that the delivery charge will be added on top in addition to what you pay at the checkout. Once payment is received we will send out your item(s).
WILL IT FIT? Please remember to check the measurements before you order. Check that all items - especially the bulky ones - will fit into your home, or where you are receiving the items, before ordering. Check doorways, inside and out, and access with a tape measure and check against the measurements of the item so that you’re sure it will fit into the desired room or space. It is your responsibility to ensure that the items will fit into your home/the place you’re receiving the goods. Usually a private courier entails one man delivering the item to your door, so please make sure you can lift/manage the item the rest of the way, thank you.
To sort out a COURIER - just drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org including the item you’d like to purchase, your address and postcode and we will get back in touch ASAP to liaise further.

COLLECTING DIRECTLY FROM US: We welcome collections from our home studio just outside Totnes, South Devon. Please select this option at check out, print out the confirmation and bring it with you when you come to collect your item(s) at the pre-arranged time. Please make sure you have an appropriate vehicle for the collection/transportation of the item.
We need 48 hours to prepare your item for a collection from our home studio. Please pre-arrange the time you’ll be coming with us via email firstname.lastname@example.org
We can only be there at a pre-arranged time - please don’t try to come at another time or arrive unannounced! If you decide that rather than collecting in person you would like us to send your item at a later date, we will need payment before the item is dispatched.
ORGANISING YOUR OWN COURIER:
You’re welcome to organise your own courier to collect from us. The app Shiply can be used to help you find a suitable courier, it is your responsibility to check feedback and insurance. Purchase the item and select ‘Collect in Person” at check out, then email us to let us know exactly when to expect your courier. We will need 48 hours to prepare you item(s) for courier collection.
We try to keep this as straightforward as possible. We understand that from time to time customers will need to return something. Please read on for a detailed outline of our returns policy:
- Always take care when unwrapping your goods. If you return your item(s) they must be in a saleable condition and not used, or tried out. Please return with original packaging.
- In the very unlikely event that your item is delivered damaged or broken please contact email@example.com within 24 hours of receiving the product so we can discuss a refund or exchange. Again please make sure you keep all original packaging. Also if the item is deemed faulty please contact us within 24 hours of receiving the product. We reserve the right to deem whether the item is actually faulty, or whether it falls under the expected ‘wear and tear’ of vintage condition.
- We can’t accept damaged or used goods to be returned or exchanged.
- To activate a refund or exchange, please fill out the RETURNS FORM and send it back to us, along with the item, to arrive at our address in Totnes no later than 14 days from when it was received by you. We are unable to process returns that don’t include this form and don’t contain the required information.
To activate the exchange please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
As all of our stock is currently one-off vintage, this means you will have to choose another item for the exchange. This can entail price differences. Where there’s a price difference where the new item is of a greater value, the difference is yours to pay. We will post the item to you once that money is received. We would refund the difference if your new item if of lesser value. You will be responsible for the delivery charge when returning the item and when we send out the item during an exchange. Only if the item is deemed faulty (see above), then Piper & Poet will cover the delivery/postage cost. If the item is returned to us outside of the 14-day returns period we reserve the right not to refund or exchange that item. If items were originally delivered by private courier, they must be returned to us by private courier at your own cost and they must be insured adequately for the shipment.
